All AAPS officers and supervisors must pass the standard requirements of the State of California, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)Officers receive training in various settings from the formal classroom with licensed instructors at any one of our offices, to at the job site training which they receive under the supervision of field training officers.

AAPS places no limit to purchasing the proper material to provide top notch training to our officers in order to guarantee leadership in the security industry.  AAPS is also a member of The California Association of Licensed Security Agencies Guards and Associates (CALSAGA). Management and instructors work closely with BSIS and CALSAGA to determine both the required and recommended courses, as soon as they become available. We work closely with The Department of Justice (DOJ) and The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  Our offices are authorized by BSIS and equipped to administer training courses to AAPS employees and the public in the following:

Module A (8 hrs.) | *Powers to Arrest/Guard Card

Module B-Mandatory Courses (16 hours)

Module C-Elective Courses (16 hours)

Module D-Refresher Course


*Module B must be completed within 30 days of hiring. Module C is to be completed within 6 months of hiring and Module D must be taken every year.

*Each course is $100.00 in Riverside and West Covina.

*Live scan background check to the DOJ, FBI, and State of CA, can be done at the West Covina office only for $69.00.

*All Module A applicants are responsible for completing the online submission to the BSIS after the live scan and Module A course.

*All prices mentioned are for cash customers. There is a credit card fee for any card payments. Personal checks are not accepted.
